Children’s portrait photography in Maida Vale and Kensington museums
Today’s blog post is rather different for me today. This family shoot took place in Maida Vale and Kensington – which in itself isn’t such a break from the norm – but for this shoot, we also visited the National History Museum.
This was my second photo shoot with Elke and her lovely family (you can take a peek at last year’s pictures here), and I was looking forward to it no end. It’s always such a pleasure to see my regular clients and I was thrilled to be visiting their home in Maida Vale for our family portrait shoot.
After a quick cup of coffee, we headed out to one of Maida Vale’s great parks but as soon as we arrived, the heavens opened and it absolutely poured with rain. Not to be daunted, we sought shelter in the bandstand but after ten minutes of photos (avoiding the three sets of people doing their personal training in the same very small space), we thought we would abandon the park – it really was too wet.
We contemplated heading home to continue our shoot there but then thought, let’s go to one of the Kensington museums and take some pictures there instead. It was fantastic fun and lovely to do something a bit different, exploring the museum with its fantastic exhibits and architecture.
I really enjoyed the session and am thrilled with the pictures. I hope you will enjoy looking at this selection of children’s and family portrait photography pictures taken on-location in Maida Vale and the Natural History Museum in London. Do get in touch if you would like me to capture some pictures of your own family – it would be great to hear from you.
