Baby Photography in Primrose Hill

Today it’s baby photography in Primrose Hill. One of the pleasures of this year has been meeting this delightful family and taking beautiful newborn and baby photographs at their stunning Primrose Hill home.  We did our first baby photo shoot in October to celebrate the birth of their beautiful baby boy and I was delighted to go back early in December to take baby photographs and family portraits as this little man celebrated three months. It’s really special documenting a baby’s first year and I’m already excited about our next session.  This one was particularly wonderful though, as we had all the excitement of Christmas with a stunning tree and the cutest Christmas outfit, memories that will stay with the parents forever and which they will be able to share with their son through these baby photographs in the future. Something I really love about my work is that it’s always different.  Children change and grow so fast and so, even if it’s only been a couple of months between sessions, the day will be totally different. In fact, when I go on holiday with some of my clients which I do each year, it never fails to astonish me that the pictures are so different from day to day.  Children are so endlessly fascinating, there’s always something new as you can see in this selection of baby photography in Primrose Hill.

When I’m photographing a baby’s first year it’s always lovely to include the things they like doing at each point – what are the toys they reach for, the playmat they love to roll on, or those little developmental stages – how are they at lifting their head? Have they found their toes yet? The first year has so many new things, next time I visit for more baby photographs in Primrose Hill he may be sitting up and then crawling, it’s all such fun.

As an avid reader myself I’m always thrilled to see babies enjoying books from a young age and I love watching the joy on parents faces as they share stories with their babies.  Hairy Maclary was a real favourite on this shoot, and a long-time favourite of mine, and I was also introduced to the incredible book ‘Gaston’ by Kelly DiPucchio which I hadn’t heard before but which I will be getting for some of the little ones in my own life after hearing it read so well.

From a personalised snow globe to the stunning Christmas tree, from stories and snuggles to the coolest cuddly jaguar and giraffe, wide-eyed concentration to the cutest giggles, this was a photo shoot to remember. My last shoot of the year and I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful way to finish 2021. I can’t wait to be back in the spring to celebrate six months and see how much this wonderful little boy has grown.
