Family party photography in Cambridge

It’s been such a busy few weeks that the blog has been a little neglected, I do apologise. After an exciting week in Guernsey at the MYVISION photographic workshop (some of my images from the workshop will follow on this blog shortly), Tom and I spent a week in Berlin on holiday and then we have been in Birmingham at the big photographic trade show, Focus on Imaging. My feet have hardly touched the ground!

Today’s blog post is from Hilary’s graduation party in Cambridge. Hilary has recently got her PhD – an achievement I look on with awe – and her family and friends gathered to celebrate at her sister Annie’s house. Hilary’s PhD explored aspects of carnival, and so this was the inspiration for the party and the guests’ wonderful masks. And it was also Annie’s birthday, so a perfect double celebration.

The house was full of joy and laughter, and some of the most amazing food I’ve seen on a buffet for a long time (thank you so much for letting me try the pork wraps, delicious!). I had a great time photographing the celebration and I do hope you all enjoy the pictures from this family party photography shoot in Cambridge.
