Just One – family photography in Notting Hill, West London

Over the years, these four siblings must have been photographed together on many occasions and I feel very privileged to have been able to add to their collection with this photograph from our recent family portrait session in Notting Hill, West London.

I imagine there must have been so many occasions – the first day back at school, birthday parties, on holidays – many moments where they have gathered together and smiled at the camera, creating memories that they hold dear. It’s lovely to update those pictures as adults, as so often we photograph children when they are little and then, once teenagers, it’s forgotten until families gather at weddings. It’s great to take the time to update these pictures.

I was thrilled when Chris asked me to join his family for a few hours to create some family photographs as a present for his father’s seventieth birthday. We had a great time, starting with some shots of the four siblings – as one of four children myself, I know how lovely it is to have that picture and that’s why I chose it as today’s ‘Just One’ preview. We then captured pictures with the rest of the family, with mum and dad and also Chris’s beautiful wife and fantastic, fun daughter Olanna. We took a variety of family shots and also lots of individual portraits and pictures as everyone relaxed, laughed and joked together and entertained – and were entertained by – little Olanna as she ran and danced around the garden singing the song from Frozen.

It was a fantastic afternoon and I’m so thrilled with the pictures. I can’t wait to share them all with Chris’s family in due course but for now, here’s today’s sneak preview from our family photography session in Notting Hill, West London W11.
