HELEN BARTLETT / FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY

Exceptional service from start to finish. Relax. Everything will be taken care of. Here’s how it works.

My aim is to make every aspect of your portrait session effortless and enjoyable

From our first chat and booking a convenient date, to the day of the photoshoot itself. And then from ordering your favourite images to the delivery of your pictures, I’ll be there every step of the way.

I love to produce images that tell stories and capture emotions. Images to exceed your expectations, each one reflecting the love you have for your children and the unique relationships between siblings.

Helen forms an instant relationship with children of all ages and manages to construct amazing photos while letting the children do their own thing. As a result, the kids love Helen’s visits, and you get pictures that really reflect the individual character of each child.

What happens on the day?

Photoshoot day is all about fun.

I arrive nice and early to get everyone at their best and brightest, full of energy and smiles. If we’re heading out and about, this time also means beautiful morning light and empty parks.

Then it’s time to make magic from your everyday moments.

Sessions usually last until lunchtime, but as I only do one shoot a day, we have flexibility. If your child still has a mid-morning sleep, we can work around naps and take a break for biscuits (and coffee).

We spend the morning doing the things you enjoy most as a family. We’ll play games, explore, run around and have fun. Everyone at ease as they relax and express themselves naturally. The result? Beautiful, happy pictures of you having a great time together.

It’s always such a pleasure photographing children. They have a brilliant sense of wonder that’s utterly contagious. I find myself caught up in games, chasing leaves, juggling apples, building dens, searching for the Gruffalo… a myriad of activities. The best pictures come from when everyone is enjoying themselves.

The world of the imagination is truly a fabulous place for photography.

After your photoshoot

After your photoshoot, I’ll process the pictures and prepare them for your viewing session. I’ll design an album and create ideas for frame layouts to fit beautifully in your home.

We’ll then arrange a convenient time for my trusted colleague Andrea to show you your pictures in the comfort of your own home. You may prefer to go with my suggestions, or you’re welcome to work with her to select your favourite pictures and decide how to display them.

Andrea brings a large screen so you can see the images in fine detail along with samples of different display products. You’ll be able to see and feel the quality of hand-made museum-grade frames, fine art prints and beautiful albums. And if you’d like digital copies of your images, you can order these too.

Delivery of your prints

Once you’ve placed your order, I’ll get everything off to the lab. About six weeks after your photoshoot, we’ll arrange the careful delivery of your beautiful pictures, ready to be hung on the wall and enjoyed forever.

If this sounds ideal for you, drop me a line via the contact form or give me a call. We can have a chat about your family and the type of photographs you’d like, then get a date in the diary.

I still don’t know how Helen manages to capture such great photos with such ease and aplomb, but she does it every time.
