Just One – Myles – family photographer in Regent’s Park and St John’s Wood, NW London
One of the things I really enjoy when photographing children is creating photographs that epitomise childhood itself, as well as depicting a particular child at a particular time. I feel that I’ve achieved this in this portrait of Myles from our children’s photo shoot in Regent’s Park in the St John’s Wood area of North London, and I’m delighted to be sharing it with you as today’s Just One preview image.
I’ve been lucky enough to have been photographing Myles since he was born, and it’s always a delight to visit the family in St John’s Wood to update our family portrait photographs. I love seeing how the children grow up, what interests they have, and how they develop over the years. I already feel that Myles’s passion for science is close to outstripping my GCSE knowledge, and his thirst for information makes me sure that he will have an interesting future. If Myles wins the Nobel Prize, you heard it here first!
Alongside science, Myles loves cycling and I was incredibly impressed by his skills on his bike as he weaved in and out of obstacles, never at risk of hitting anything (or anyone). This photograph depicts that, and also makes use of the wonderful environment of Regent’s Park, a place that is a firm family favourite for a walk, to create this beautiful photograph. I love the framing effect of the trees and the foliage, with the light area producing a lovely contrast on with the figure of Myles really standing out.
I’m thrilled with this children’s portrait photograph from Regent’s Park in the St John’s Wood area of north London, and I hope you like it too. If you would like to.arrange your own family photo shoot in North London or further afield, then do contact us – we’d be delighted to hear from you.
