Father and Daughter, Newborn Baby Portrait London
I think this might be the cutest newborn smile I’ve ever seen and it’s only one of a lovely set of pictures from my recent newborn baby and family photography session in South Kensington, I can’t wait to share some more in due course.
I spent the most wonderful morning with Neda and Saj and their beautiful newborn twins. It was one of those mornings where I found myself laughing as much as I was taking pictures, I felt like I had known the family forever as we photographed the girls and chatted about everything from the changing face of London to the best Persian cookery books. Neda had been given my name by my friend, London’s best wedding photographer, Jez Dickson (whose work I highly recommend if you are getting married) and it’s always so nice when there’s a connection, a friend in common, I know I will have such a good time.
The girls were such a pleasure to photograph, at two weeks old they were so alert and I love photographing newborn babies when they are awake, I love the eye contact and expressions and the fact that you can see so much personality already, even when they are so little.
However, it was this smiling, snoozing shot that melted my heart when I downloaded the pictures, I absolutely love it. Baby Lily has such a fantastic expression, such an amazing smile and Saj, looking down on his tiny baby daughter echoes the smile with his own. You can feel the love and I know this will be a picture that the family will treasure as the girls grow up, who wouldn’t want a picture like this with their daddy.
