Helen’s guest blog on the ‘A Little Bird’ website
I have been an avid reader of the A Little Bird newsletter since Kate introduced me to it a few years ago, and so I am thrilled that we are featured today as the guest blog on the newsletter and website. I’m even more excited as I am up there with one of my personal heroes, Thomasina Miers, who brought chipotle chillies into my life through her wonderful Wahaca chain. I’m thrilled to be among such illustrious company!
If you’re not familiar with the A Little Bird website, then do visit here and also sign up to their email newsletter – it’s a lovely weekly treat that highlights beautiful things and interesting people, a real insider’s guide to the best of London. From stunning new editions of Jane Austen classics to news about the latest Mid Century Modern furniture sales (which are always Kate’s weakness), each week is a treat and I’ve bought any number of Christmas and birthday presents for family and friends following their recommendations. It’s an email I look forward to receiving each week, which is a rare thing in this world of constant communication.
In my guest blog post on the A Little Bird website, I have offered my advice on photographing children, which is something that everyone who has young family members is likely to be doing a bit over the summer – whether it’s with an iPhone on the beach, capturing pictures of the children running around and having fun in the garden, or taking quick group shots of the children with their friends on family days out.
I’ve shared some of my best tips and tricks to take the very best shots with the minimum of fuss – I do hope you will head over to the blog here, have a read and find something that is useful to you (and probably find lots of other lovely things, too – I’ve just entered a prize draw to win a copy of the Hummus Bros’ new cook book!).
