Newborn baby photography in Cambridge
Today’s blog post starts where we left off with Tristan’s ‘Just One’ post from our recent newborn baby and family photography shoot in Cambridge. I’m so pleased to be able to share some more pictures with you from our morning together.
Tristan was such a joy to photograph – cute as a bug’s ear (as they say in The Simpsons) and clearly the apple of his parents’ eye (even during the odd bit of screaming, as only a newborn baby can). Emma and Luca – great friends of mine from our days studying for our Mphil in Medieval History at Cambridge University – are clearly such delighted parents, it really was a joy to behold.
For our newborn baby and family photography session, I travelled to Cambridge from my home in London the night before – I find that starting very early (8am is recommended) works really well for all children’s photography sessions. For older children, the early start means that we have the children at their best and brightest; for newborns – who are yet to establish any kind of routine and even to know night from day – it’s a good time of day when their parents are not yet absolutely exhausted (and, if I am as lucky as I was on Luca and Emma’s shoot, sometimes I get a cooked breakfast thrown in!).
We spent a lovely morning taking pictures in between breaks for baby Tristan’s feeds and nappy changes. It was great to have lots of time to chat and to hear all about Tristan’s favourite things – he was already very partial to his daddy’s singing!
Here are a few favourites images from the morning. I do hope you enjoy this selection of pictures from our newborn baby and family photography session in Cambridge.
