Denmark Hill, near Dulwich, newborn and family portrait photography
Newborn baby portrait photography sessions are always very special. It’s such an amazing time in every parent’s life – one of such big changes and incredibly strong emotions. I always leave on a high just from being around such intense feelings of love that parents have for their newborn child in those first amazing incredible and intense days.
It’s even better when I am photographing the baby of a dear friend; I first met Rudi many years ago at the back of a Latin class the week before we both began our MPhil in Medieval History at Cambridge University. We immediately became friends over a shared love of beer, cheese, the cinema and, of course medieval history (we were lucky enough to have the best year ever doing our MPhil). We’ve stayed in touch ever since and so I was absolutely thrilled to hear that Rudi and Beth were expecting a baby, and even more excited when we arranged that I would visit their home in Denmark Hill, near Dulwich in South London to take some newborn pictures of beautiful baby Julia.
We spent a wonderful morning capturing newborn baby and family pictures, drinking coffee and, of course, snacking on cheese. It was lovely to catch up and I was so happy to see how thrilled Rudi and Beth are with their wonderful daughter.
Here are some of my favourite pictures from our morning to together and I hope you enjoy this selection of newborn baby and family portrait photographs from our photo shoot in Denmark Hill in South London.
