Photographing newborns in Kensington is such a privilege – it’s an incredibly special time for the family and I’m proud that so many families invite me into their homes to record these early moments. My work is very natural – I don’t use

props – rather I aim to take pictures that record your life as it is at this moment. I photograph in your home so that you are surrounded by all your own things – things that will bring back memories in years to come, whether it’s all the little details of your child’s nursery or even the squidgy sofa where dad loves to cuddle with the little ones in front of the TV. These details ensure your images are completely unique to you and instilled with your families personality.

Having worked in Kensington over many years photographing newborns as well as older babies, children and families, I’m also familiar with all the local parks and if we have a beautiful day for your photos then perhaps we might take a stroll into Holland Park or Kensington Gardens for a few photographs, utilizing the beautiful backgrounds to add variety to your newborn baby photographs in Kensington.

My newborn photograph in Kensington sessions are always very relaxed and a lot of fun – I work around your baby ensuring that their needs (and yours) come

first. As families grow there are often older siblings around for newborn photography sessions and you can be completely confident that I will take lovely photographs of your older children as well as their new baby brother or sister. It’s always lovely to see the relationships as they are beginning to form between siblings – the excitement, and often a little trepidation, as they get to know each other. I’m lucky that I often get to see these relationships develop as the children grow, from those first inquisitive glances to running around with a football or building dens together as they grow up.

I recommend that we schedule your newborn portrait photography for when your baby is under a fortnight old – days 4, 5 and 6 are ideal when your little one is still tiny and new. Babies grow so quickly in the first few weeks it’s lovely to capture those early moments. After your little one is three or four weeks old we recommend waiting until they are about four months so it is a short window to achieve great newborn baby photographs.

As the first few weeks after a baby is born fly by I recommend putting a date in the diary before your baby is born so you don’t miss that magic window of opportunity when your baby is tiny. I’m always happy to move dates around if your baby arrives early or late to ensure you get the very best set of pictures.

I charge a session fee for my newborn photography in Kensington, which is £450 during the week or £550 on weekends and bank holidays. This covers my time on the day and the time spent preparing your images for your viewing session. At your viewing session, you can choose what you would like to order and I offer a wide variety of beautiful options. My unframed prints are £75 up to

12″ x 8″ in size and we have a minimum order of ten. Framed prints are from £315, my stunning albums start at £1250 and a disk of digital files is included in all orders over £1,995. You can find a full price list here.
