Joyful morning of family portraits in Ealing
I spent an amazing morning in Ealing earlier this year photographing a wonderful family and creating beautiful memories for them to treasure.
This was my second photoshoot with them and I’m already looking forward to more.
Regular family photography sessions as little ones grow up is a commitment, but the rewards are amazing, a visual record of their young lives for the children to treasure into adulthood.
Activities on a family photo shoot
It’s always fun to discover what families have planned when I arrive for a family photo shoot, and we had a mix of indoor and outdoor games to play.
We started with a trip to Ealing Common which is a great spot for photography with some beautiful shaded areas where we had a brilliant time playing with a stomp rocket and enjoying a game of hide and seek.
Tree lined walk
The tree lined walk on the edge of Ealing Common has the most wonderful light and the long grass makes it a great place to play. We had a great time having fun and taking relaxed photographs as mother and son enjoyed this special time together.
I love the timeless nature of black and white photographs and it’s wonderful knowing that these images will look as great when this little one is an adult as they do now. The overwhelming greens and browns of high summer are also removed from the images so we can concentrate on people and emotions rather than the colour of the grass which can dominate an image.
Indoor play
Back home we enjoyed some more family photos and a bit of quiet time with a puzzle. It’s great to do indoor pictures as well as outdoor photographs on all family photo shoots as the images have such a different feel to them.
I love to create variety for my clients on their photo shoots and so the more different things we do the better, I like to record all the little one’s favourite activities, so they have so many memories to look back on.
