London Baby Photography taken on-location in the Isle of Dogs
As many of you will know, I am currently camped out at my parents’ house between selling our Cambridge house and finding somewhere to live in London (damn you, Japanese knotweed and its chain-breaking ways!). It’s lovely being back in Blackheath for a while and it is a great as a base for getting out and about in London for baby, children and family photography sessions.
I was so pleased to have a relatively local shoot on the Isle of Dogs when I met Nicola to photograph her beautiful baby. It was – as has been so often the case this year – a fairly dark and drizzly day when I arrived, but Daisy’s smile lit up the room. I honestly don’t think I have ever met a more cheerful baby, she was an absolute delight!
So we started at home, playing in the living room and looking at all Daisy’s favourite toys. It was great fun.
Then, after Daisy’s mid-morning nap, the rain had let up so we went out to explore. The docks area is amazing, such a beautiful and interesting place to live and we walked past sailing schools and ducklings as we made our way to Mudchute Farm (as I had never been). I am now a huge fan of the farm – it’s free to the public and with lots of different animals, we had a great time and Daisy was fascinated by the ducks and also by the sheep shearing which was definitely another photo shoot first for me.
We then captured a few more family pictures with Canary Wharf in the background before heading home for lunch. It was a wonderful, magical morning and I am absolutely thrilled with these baby and family photographs from the Isle of Dogs in Central London. I hope you will enjoy them.
