Baby and Family photography in Crouch End, North London

On the blog today, I’m delighted to share a beautiful baby and family photography session taken on location in lovely, local Crouch End in North London. I do love it when I can walk to work!

Mirian had seen me advertise my baby photography in one of Crouch End’s many fabulous coffee shops and had loved the picture, and also loved the idea of using a local photographer for her family photography session. I am thrilled that she chose me and we had such a wonderful time.

Little Federico was four months old at the time of our baby and family photography session in Crouch End and he was such a fun baby to photograph, alert and interested in everything that was going on around him. He was also keen to be snuggled up with mummy and daddy, and to be playing with his favourite toys as I took photographs.

As it was a wet morning, we started our photo shoot indoors with pictures on the bed, utilising the natural light from the big window. Federico showed off his skills at tummy time, lifting his head for the camera and smiling up at me, producing some of my favorite shots from our children and family photography session in Crouch End.

I also particularly love the shots we took in Federico’s bedroom – so often I photograph children whose parents have such wonderful interior design skills and children have such wonderful bedrooms nowadays (I remember my childhood room being papered by all the random wallpaper off-cuts until I was old enough to paint it myself – it was very different to the lovely colours and amazing stick-on wall art that adorn children’s rooms now). Federico’s giraffe was a real highlight, so big he will be riding on it until he gets to school and producing such wonderful happy smiles and laughter as he reached out to stroke its nose.

We played indoors and then, when the rain dried off, briefly outdoors in the family’s lovely Crouch End garden, capturing a really beautiful set of pictures that I feel captures so much of this early time in Federico’s young life. All the joy and happiness felt by his parents and the wonder he shows at each new thing and favourite toy. It’s such a priviledge to be able to capture these early moments and I was thrilled to be able to do so for Mirian, Simon and Federico.
