Day in the life photography – part 1
So this is the first of three posts about my friend Rob and his beautiful family. Earlier in the year, both Rob and I took part in a documentary photography workshop called MYVISION in Brighton and after that, I thought it would be good for me to try to extend the concept of shooting and critiquing into my own field. During the workshop we photographed all day and then had team critiques in the evening, only to go out and reshoot on the following day.
I asked Rob if I could come and photograph his family, be critiqued by our team leader in the evening and do some more pictures the next day as an exercise in pushing myself photographically, trying some new kit and new techniques and generally having a good time. Luckily for me, he said yes.
Here are some favourites from the first part of our time together, a morning just chilling out at the house with the family and some friends, playing in the garden and generally relaxing. Oh and it was Mother’s Day, too…
