Children’s portrait photography in Friern Barnet, North London

As many of you know, I am currently in the slow and rather painful process of moving house – we left Cambridge back in June and have been camping out in Blackheath since then while we find a house in Crouch End in North London.

I am beginning to find my feet north of the river and so I was thrilled to be invited by Rhahat to visit her and her family in Friern Barnet, close to where I hope to move in Crouch End. It is such a lovely area and the amazing mansion flats where Rhahat lives with her family were an absolutely spectacular location for baby, children’s and family portrait photography.

We had a great morning together, running around the grounds of the flats which were full of fun things to do – trees to climb, open space to run around and a brick folly that was a perfect space for some family portraits and shots of the children together.

Then, when everyone was getting tired, we headed indoors for the children to have lunch and for me to pack away my kit. While lunch was being made, I spotted the balcony above the living room and headed up there to take some more unusual arial shots of the children.
