Children’s portrait photography in Highgate, North London
Having photographed children and families throughout London, I would say that Highgate Woods is one of my favourite locations for family photography. It’s such a beautiful spot, and I was thrilled when we visited the woods as part of my portrait session with Liz. I first met Liz back in 2008 and so it was wonderful to see her again, and to see how the boys have grown.
Our last photo shoot took place in Islington and it stuck in my memory as Liz’s children were so incredibly well behaved, and so I had high hopes for our next meeting. They were exceeded – the boys were an absolute joy to photograph.
We explored the woods, climbing trees, jumping off logs and discussing the relative merits of different children’s books – I definitely need to re-read the Redwall series, as there seem to be a lot more books since my childhood. We laughed, we ran around, we told jokes and I was able to capture lots of fantastic photographs of the boys having fun and enjoying themselves.
At the end of the session, we went home for a snack and a few final pictures of the boys building their Lego – a favorite hobby, and so one which I was very keen to capture in pictures to remind them of their skills in later years.
All in all, we had a really wonderful children’s portrait photography session in Highgate in North London and I hope you will enjoy looking at the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.
