Primrose Hill and Regents Park Family Portrait Photographer

Fun family photography in Primrose Hill

On the blog today I’m thrilled to be sharing a selection of images from a fantastic family photo shoot on Primrose Hill, part of Regents Park in North London.  I like to share a small selection of images from shoots to give my clients a sneak preview of what to expect at their viewing session and also to give prospective clients a good idea of how I work and what my photo shoots are like. Portfolios are great, of course, but it’s nice to see a wider selection of images from individual shoots to get a feel of the style and variety of images and to see how much fun we all have.

And this shoot was a lot of fun!

Heading out bright and early

I like to start my photo shoots as early as possible, usually at 8am so that we have the parks to ourselves when we head out and about. It’s wonderful entering the playground and being the only family there, it means we can play and enjoy ourselves and there’s no risk of other people in the back of the photos.

We had a brilliant time on the swings and the roundabout and enjoying the sand while the world woke up around us before running up to the top of Primrose Hill to enjoy the view before the crowds arrived.

Photo shoots with activities

The lovely thing about having a whole morning for our photo shoot means we have lots of time to do different things and we’ll often have a quick break for a snack at some point to replenish energy levels. Keeping everyone fed and watered allows us to keep going and find new and exciting places to play. On this shoot we managed to fit in two different playgrounds alongside lots of fun playing in the park including football, and chase, and some family portrait photos too.

Pictures at home

As well as taking pictures out and about we also headed home for some family pictures in the garden which was just amazing, a communal garden that was huge by London standards and with such a cool rope swing which offered some beautiful opportunities for pictures.

We finished with the biggest challenge of them all, a family portrait with the cats. Nothing like a bit of mayhem for the last few minutes but it was worth it, the resulting image makes me laugh out loud, just look at that cat’s expression, it’s absolutely priceless!
