Arranging a family photo shoot when you visit London

Shamsa visited London for her family vacation and was keen to arrange a portrait session for her five children. I suggested nearby St James Park as a great place to go, it was near the hotel and has lots of variety for beautiful pictures. We didn’t want to go too far afield as we needed to fit around nap times for the baby and so this worked perfectly.
We spent a wonderful morning together enjoying the early summer weather and the kids had a lovely time running around and playing games. As on all my photo shoots we did a mix of very relaxed documentary style photography whilst also ensuring that I got pictures of all the children together – no mean feat with five kids! I feel it’s important to get a mix of portraits and documentary images to provide the best set of pictures for my clients.
Stunning black and white photography means that the images will stand the test of time and careful use of light and creative compositions ensure a really varied set of pictures. As you can see from the children’s expressions we all had an amazing time.
