Gladwins Farm – the perfect place for a family holiday and a photo shoot
Some locations are pure magic for family photography and Gladwins Farm in Suffolk is one of those. I’ve been lucky enough to visit and photograph families who are staying at Gladwins Farm several times over the years and it’s always a joy from start to finish. Boasting incredible self-catering cottages alongside fantastic activities – with a lake, woodland walk, playground, animals, and a swimming pool in 22 acres of Suffolk countryside it’s the perfect bolthole for families who want a wonderful time away with the kids and the perfect place for a family photo shoot.
I was thrilled to join Susie and Jill, both long term clients of mine, for a big extended family photo shoot in the summer and we had the most amazing time.
To start bright and early I stayed nearby so I could arrive early for our family photo shoot at Gladwins Farm. The kids were all up, breakfasted, and excited to be spending time with their cousins. And then it was an action-packed day with so many activities from fishing, to trampolining, to the giant paddling pool in the garden. I even saw my first chicks hatching which was a magical experience as an adult, I can only imagine how fantastic that must have been for the children.
As always with big family photo shoots I made sure to take some group shots with everyone in but for the majority of the day we were just playing with the kids exploring and having fun and me running around with my camera photographing the action as it happened. This is my favourite way to work ensuring we have lovely pictures with everyone in but also working in a documentary fashion and reacting to what happens in front of my camera.
On our family photo shoot at Gladwins Farm it was never ending action and I can see why Gladwins Farm has won so many awards.
