Family and children’s photography in Kensington Gardens, West London
In today’s blog post, I’m thrilled to showcase a larger selection of images from a recent family and children’s photography session in Kensington, West London W11. This session took place earlier in the spring and I’m so thrilled to share it with you now that the family have all seen the pictures (and you can read still read our Just One preview blog from our Kensington family photography shoot here).
My regular baby and children’s photo shoots with Jennifer and her beautiful family have become one of the highlights of my calander since we first met three years ago, when Stella was just three months old. Since then, I have been lucky enough to visit on numerous occasions creating a wonderful photographic record as Stella grows up, and then also her baby brother Thomas, who is now up on his feet, toddling around and so much fun.
Our photo shots have taken in so many of my favourite spots in London from Regent’s Park to Kew Gardens, and from London Zoo to the family’s beautiful home in Parson’s Green. We’ve photographed the family, grandparents and the children’s birthday parties on different occasions throughout the past three years, and every shoot has been a joy.
For our most recent springtime portrait session, we decided to head to Kensington Gardens, a favourite spot of mine for children and family photography and always a great hit with the kids. It’s a beautiful spot, and arriving nice and early in the morning means we can run around and have fun before the crowds arrive. Running was definitely high on Thomas’ agenda, and he had a brilliant time chasing pigeons and pulling his parents along – this walking lark is quite a new thing for Thomas and he had taken to it with gusto!
As always, Stella was so much fun, giggling with her parents and exploring, always with an eye out for a squirrel. Maybe next time we should go to St James’ Park for the tamest squirrels London has to offer!
We spent a wonderful morning exploring the park itself, before breaking for a snack at The Orangery and then heading into the playground for a little play before the end of the day. The children particularly enjoyed the music area, which is my favourite area too – I love how the children become mesmerised creating music from the pipes and the jumping squares. It’s a brilliant activity and one that works so well for capturing children’s portraits.
As you will see from this selection of photographs, a brilliant time was had by all during our morning spent in Kensington Gardens in West London W11, and I hope you enjoy this extended selection of photographs from our morning.
Do contact us if you would like to arrange a photo shoot for your own family in London or elsewhere in the UK – we are currently taking booking a throughout the summer and into the autumn, and we’d love to hear from you.
