Alexandra Palace and Crouch End Headshot Photographer
Headshot portrait photographs are becoming ever more popular and so I was thrilled to meet Karen on a beautiful February afternoon to take some pictures for her forthcoming book.
We met in the stunning Alexandra Palace Park, my local park and a fabulous spot for headshot photographs. With Crouch End seemingly populated almost entirely with people working in the creative industries, particularly actors, it’s a great place for me to live and offer headshot photos, here in N8 and also up in Muswell Hill and Ally Pally – it’s great to do some work close to home.
We started at the top of the hill and spent a lovely hour and a bit exploring the park – finding great spots for pictures with interesting backgrounds and lovely light. It was quite a windy day and that really benefitted us, the breeze giving body and energy to Karen’s hair in some of the images – it almost looked as if we had brought a wind machine with us like you might see in a fashion shoot. I love it when nature lends a hand!
We had a brilliant time, hitting it off immediately and laughing and chatting as we worked. I find it so fascinating to meet so many interesting people and it is one of the things I love most about headshot photography – hearing about my clients varied and interesting careers and learning about new things.
It was a great session and here are a few favourites, which I hope you will enjoy. As I’m sure you will agree it’s lovely to have such natural looking headshots that really reflect personalities without feeling forced or artificial, the perfect projection of a personality in print (now say that five times backwards!).
I offer headshot sessions Monday to Friday during daylight hours at my home in Crouch End, at a local park or elsewhere in London. Do get in touch if you would like to arrange your own session.
