Headshot Photography in the City of London
I first met Susannah back in 2006 when I photographed her children. Since then we have done two more sessions and I was thrilled when she got in touch again to arrange a fourth photo shoot – some pictures for herself this time. Susannah needed some professional headshot photographs to use in a business context. LinkedIn profiles, Facebook, Twitter as well as business websites all make use of photographs – as we all know, people buy people and everyone expects to know what we look like. Creating portraits that are flattering but true to life is a real pleasure for me as a photographer and it’s lovely to know that clients have pictures they are proud to use in this context.
My headshot work is based around taking pictures that really reflect who you are. By the use of very simple posing and lighting, often using entirely natural light (although I do use a light in my studio shots, they still have a very natural light feel) I can create images that really reflect my clients personalities. We have such fun on our sessions, moving around and talking as we go so that expressions are natural and smiles are real.
Susannah and I met to take her headshot photographs in the Barbican in the City of London, a brilliant spot for a photo shoot as the architecture really lends itself to interesting light and there are plenty of areas for creative environmental portraits. We walked around, chatting as we looked for elements that would create a great setting for our pictures. It was a relaxed experience and resulted in these lovely natural headshot photographs that are perfect for use in business and for PR purposes.
I hope you enjoy them – I’m available for headshot photo shoots Monday to Friday during daylight hours at my home in Crouch End or elsewhere in London.
