Alex, Matty and Nicky

One of the best things about my job is that I get to see my little subjects grow up. The speed with which the little ones change in those first few years is amazing and it is always such a pleasure to watch the characters develop and change over the years.

I was therefore thrilled when Alison rang up and asked if I could hop on the train up north to photograph her boys. I first met Alex and Matty back in 2004 when they were living in London, we had a wonderful morning with a definite ‘Finding Nemo’ theme, I can still remember hiding from the baraccuda under the kitchen table. Then, a year on in 2005 I visited the boys again while they were staying with their Granny in London for some more pictures. Again, a fabulous time was had by all. Then last week I saw them again and got to meet the new addition to the family, Nicky who is just as much of a cracking little character as his two older brothers.

We had a lovely morning and I got to make mud-pies for the first time in ages, I don’t think it gets any better than that.
