Children’s party photography

I always feel that the summer has arrived when the children’s birthday party season is upon me. Children have parties all year round, but I think it is just that I have a few regular birthday parties that I photograph every year around June and July. To me, they always signal the start of summer (although with the wonderful weather we’ve had so far this year, it has been feeling pretty summery for a while now).

We had a wonderful day – the best bouncy castle (although I discovered that I don’t have the same bouncing stamina that I once did) and lots of fun party games including the Kinder Egg and spoon race, which I plan to use at my own birthday in future.
