It feels like having an old friend around
We first met Helen when our daughter was a few weeks old and have asked her to come back to take photographs on 3 further occasions over the past 13 years (both in and outside London), as we love the pictures she produces. It feels like having an old friend around, and she takes the time to really get to know everyone so that her pictures perfectly capture the essence of the child and the family dynamic. Through having her back again and again, we’ve seen that she is amazing with children of any age – she engages with them effortlessly and it’s clear that children love her. It was such a lovely Autumn morning – the shoot was super fun, easy, natural and the kids adored her, as did my husband and I. I immediately fell in love with her black and white photos.
We had a lovely family shooting with Helen last October. I found her website online and immediately fell in love with her black and white photos. I knew that was the style I was looking for. We had a wonderful experience on the day of the shooting, Helen has a delicate and warm approach and our son loved her (he still talks about her!). He was 20 months back then and Helen managed to give him one of the funniest morning he has ever had. Needless to say, the result was outstanding. The photos she took will be with us forever and they represent the essence of our little family.

Helen has the most exquisite eye and her talent to capture the essence of your family in her portraits is outstanding. I think this is largely down to her relaxed presence on the day of the shoot which puts everyone (including very little ones) at ease. The album she produces is of such a high quality that I know it will be one of our most treasured possessions throughout our lifetime. If you are looking for a family photographer – Helen is the best!
