Talk at the Apple Store, plus post-production workshop for portrait & wedding photographers
Thank you so much to everyone who came along to my talk at the Apple Store on Regent St, London in association with the Royal Photographic Society. It was wonderful to speak to such a large crowd (apologies to those who had to stand at the back), and great to meet lots of people afterwards. I hope you all enjoyed the talk, and thank you to Robin and the team at the Apple Store for making me feel so welcome.
Thanks also to the wonderful wedding photographer Tom Catchesides for taking a few pictures of the talk. If anyone can remember what I was talking about when I pulled that funny face in the penultimate picture, do let me know.
If you were disappointed to miss my talk at SWPP or the Apple Store, there is another opportunity to catch it as part of an intensive one-day course I am hosting with Tom Catchesides on Monday 14th March. We still have a few places available and please see below for more details:
post-production for portrait & wedding photographers – by Tom Catchesides & Helen Bartlett
Calumet Drummond St, London, Monday 14 March 2011
Join us for an intensive one-day course covering everything you need to polish your portrait & wedding images to a standard that will delight your clients. We’ll be teaching you the techniques that we use every day in our own photography businesses. The course will explore:
Setting and exceeding client expectations.
Working with repeat clients.
Taking control of your workflow.
post-production with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
Practical portrait retouching.
Producing great black & white images from digital.
Presenting finished images to your clients.
The course is suitable for both established pros and those in the process of building a photography business. Some Photoshop experience is necessary, but a catch-up session will make sure that everyone attending the course is familiar with the tools used throughout.
Everyone attending the seminar will receive a disc containing details of the techniques demonstrated, sample files and the Photoshop Actions used during the course.
The workshop is taking place at Calumet’s store on Drummond St in London. Lunch and refreshments are provided.
