Headshot photography in Crouch End

I have always really enjoyed headshot photography and so I was excited to discover that Crouch End’s population seems to have such a high quota of actors (and photographers too, which is always good fun as it keeps me on my toes creatively and provides me with great company for chatting about photography – one of my favourite things to do). It’s lovely to live in an area so full of creative people and I was thrilled to arrange an evening shoot with Ellie to capture some headshot photographs in nearby Alexandra Palace Park.

We had the most lovely time, walking around in the park taking photographs and chatting. With the London Marathon taking place this weekend, we mostly discussed running routes (both Ellie and I run in Ally Pally, although we seem to take slightly different paths around the park), marathon training (as Ellie has recently completed the Brighton Marathon in an amazingly quick time), stretching, yoga and all the other things that get discussed when two runners get together. One of the best things about taking headshot photographs is that I get to chat to such interesting people.

We found many wonderful spots for our pictures in the park, with some great backgrounds in the lovely wooded areas and some simple urban textures around the Palace itself. It was great fun exploring, using the lovely evening light and working with the environment to ensure we ended up with some really lovely pictures that truly captured Ellie’s personality.

I’m thrilled with the results and am looking forward to taking many more headshot photographs for some of the numerous actors, writers, and other creatives in Crouch End and the surrounding areas of North London.
